. . . Extinguishes Emotional Trauma ~ Calms Nervous System

Mind Body Counseling

Patti Bee, M.S., LPC, NCC offer Holistic Counseling. Previously she has been a Professional Intuitive and healer for 22 years, trained in the Berkeley Psychic School Tradition. She also trained with the Foundation for Shamanic Studies in advanced classes, before becoming a psychotherapist.

Spirituality is included in the Mind Body Counseling process for those that would like that. It is at all required though.

The mind / body techniques Patti employs are intregal to both therapy approaches that she specializes in, in her mind body counseling practice. They are: Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), which is inner parts work, and then also in the Brainspotting. Both use the felt sense in the body to find access to deep brain rewiring and a deeper connection to self. And that is definitely a cutting edge way to employ the mind body approach.

All of her background and training bring a very holistic experience to the client in the counseling process. This holistic approach is at the heart of the results-based therapy that she is able to deliver as a Mind Body Counselor. Especially, the mind body aspects of Brainspotting and IFS.

Need more information? You can understand the mind body process by taking a look at what it is we usually do in regular stalk therapy. Many times when therapy does not include the mind body therapy process, you will just talk and the therapist will offer insight, and you may then understand yourself better, but without including the felt sense in the body, the mind is all alone in the work. You are then way too up in your head. Deep emotional traumas are not stored in the thinking and learning parts of the brain where talk therapy happens. They are stored int he deep brain and to access that, we much tune into the body to see what in the body connects to the mind. This is body-based psychotherapy, or mind body therapy and it can also be call mind body counseling. Patti Bee is definitely a mind body counselor and she welcomes you to the mind body therapy approach.
